My awakening started knocking on my door in 2017. During this year, I had read the book, Fulfilled, by Anna Yusim. Toward the end of the book, Yusim describes life in a way that really appealed to me. She said that she realized life was speaking to us through the phenomena that appeared and that the signs that surround us each day were telling a story at a deeper level.
Prior to this point, I had been trying law of attraction techniques for years without much success, so this way of looking at life felt much more personal and richer. Soon after reading this book, my life really opened up for me. I began to see life as a waking dream. I figured that if my dreams were bringing me messages through symbols and metaphors, then why wouldn’t my waking life do that well? Besides, I’ve always felt this life was somewhat of a dream anyway.
I began to see the phenomena around me as clues and guidance to what I needed to know. If new construction surrounded me, I equated it to new structures being built in my mind. New roads were new neural connections. Pruning trees meant cutting back unnecessary thoughts. Synchronicities, especially number synchronicities, began around this time too. I knew that my ability to continually look at the clock at a certain time to see these meaningful numbers was beyond mere chance.
Looking at life through this new lens felt wonderful at first, but it didn’t take long to realize it’s not always pleasant when things aren’t going well. I had many signs that correlated to the cleansing process during my kundalini awakening. As the kundalini plunged my root chakra, our plumbing backed up, releasing sewer water into our basement. (To me, basements represent the root chakra.) At a time when I knew my major internal blocks were surfacing, my house was constantly occupied by workers who would park in my driveway, physically blocking me in my house.
As I was in an alcohol induced rut, many construction trucks kept running over a patch of our yard creating rut marks with their tires. When I knew I needed to stand up for myself and protect my boundaries, a man from the city came and marked our property boundary lines, cutting out several feet from the existing property line. And in a remarkable “coincidence” my daughter managed to lock our pantry door from the inside. My husband had to take the hinges off the door to gain entry, but the message of unlocking the door from the inside out was duly noted.
Even though some of those signs were not always pleasant, I still like to look at my life through the signs and metaphors that show up. Seeing certain animals show up during certain periods of life can be more than coincidental. When this happens, it can be fun to do a google search on the spiritual meaning of such animal.
Back in 2018, I watched new construction appear in the subdivision behind our house. I was going through a sobriety period, and I associated the new roads being paved as new neural connections being aligned in my sobriety. At the end of the construction, I was disappointed when two roads that were lined up and only a few feet away from each other were left unpaved, leaving a gap in the middle. Unfortunately, during this particular sobriety journey, I was not successful long-term.
In 2019 we moved to a new state and in 2020, after successfully being sober from alcohol for a year, my dad sent me a picture of this construction area. The gap between these roads was now complete and with the picture my dad also sent the text, “New road in your backyard?” At the time my dad had no idea the association I created with these roads and my sobriety.
Number synchronicities can also speak volumes to bring us certain messages. I’ve had many of these experiences, but I’ll give a few examples of some of my favorite number messages. One day we decided to go to the beach while we let a roast cook in our oven. I was a bit scared to do this, but as I turned on the oven, it gave me a countdown for the preheat period which just so happened to be 4:44 (I believe 444 to be an angel number). During a drive when my husband had to slam on the brakes, barely avoiding a car crash, the semi’s in front of us and to the side of us had the numbers 444 and 144. (I believe 144 to be a number signaling the fifth dimension). As I was meeting my husband for lunch at an outdoor diner, I realized I had forgotten my mask, and as soon as I had that realization, I saw 144 and 405 on the license plates in front of me. (405 has been my “on track” number since childhood).
While these are my interpretations of special numbers, I urge you to decipher your special numbers, signs, and symbols yourself. Only you can decide what your signs and messages mean. Also, overly assigning meanings to things in your life can be problematic. Some things just happen, and it can drive you a little nutty to take things personally that don’t need to be. If something feels like a sign, you’ll know it deep down.
I also want to caution against going into fear about seeing different stimuli. I’ve seen hundreds of ambulances and firetrucks since my awakening. I’ve also seen the number 911 hundreds of times (I actually think 911 is a strong spiritual number). So far nothing scary has happened to me or my family. I know we are all divinely protected.
Seeing signs and synchronicities as deeper meanings inside is interesting, but deliberate actions can also produce remarkable results. For me, cleaning certain areas of my home gives me a palpable energetic boost. Cleaning out my fridge, which to me symbolizes the gut, can boost my vibration significantly. Cleaning a bathroom, which to me symbolizes my personal space, also has dramatic effects in my energy. Making my bed each morning sets my day up for success. On rare days when I skip this, I feel the negative energetic effects. Planting and weeding a garden have incredible metaphors for making a new start in life and watching the fruits of your labor come to fruition.
Looking at life in this way can be enriching and enlightening and taking deliberate actions to broadcast signals to the universe (such as cleaning certain areas) can be an incredibly powerful and an enjoyable manifestation tool. Doing so with the intention of energetic cleansing can also make these chores a little less burdensome. 🙂
