Many of us are experiencing new states of consciousness right now. I believe our planet is shifting into a new energy, as I’ve personally witnessed my own consciousness shift over the last few years. There is a lot of talk about these different states with most people labeling these as 3d, 4d, 5d, and higher. Although I don’t like giving labels to something as subjective and personal as a state of consciousness, I believe there are characteristics to these states that are being experienced widely and the terms allow for an easier discussion.
I’ve heard these states being described with 3d being a starting point, 4d being a bridge, and 5d being a destination. I’m going to describe what each state may feel like. Remember, we are all so unique, so not all of these characteristics will apply to you.
3d has a strong “you get what you see” sort of feel. You probably won’t feel a strong spiritual connection. In 3d we are entrenched in the physical, and we move about our days in ways to secure these physical needs.
As we move into 4d, we begin to open ourselves up to the spiritual world. We may begin to see signs and synchronicities around us. Seeing certain number combinations follow you throughout the day may be a beginning point in realizing there’s more going on than meets the eye. Colors may seem more vibrant. Our intuition may be heightened, and we may begin to pick up on new psychic abilities. As 4d is our bridge, it may not always feel good. Dark nights of the soul are often experienced in 4d. It is in this dimension that we must face many of the lessons and challenges we signed up for on this life journey.
As you get closer to crossing the 4d bridge, you may start to tap into 5d. In 5d there is no doubt that you are connected to spirit. Things look a little different (for me, things take on a cutsie look). Life feels more real, as senses are heightened. Colors are more vibrant, and beauty abounds. There is a sense of peace and joy in this dimension. The fears and troubles of 4d seem to be replaced with the knowing that everything is working beautifully and in divine order.
Although I’ve described these states in a linear way, they will not always follow a straight line. You may be mostly anchored in the 4d and still experience moments of 3d or 5d. Some people may feel as though they are mostly in higher states of consciousness, yet still find themselves dipping into lower states occasionally. If this is happening to you, don’t panic. Fear that you are descending will only exacerbate that belief. Stay confident in the fact that you’ve experienced the higher states and that they aren’t going anywhere. They are in your body whether you feel them or not, and they are just a quick vibrational tweak away.
Recently when I’ve dipped into lower states, I’ve used the time to observe and reminisce on what it felt like to be in those states of consciousness. In some ways, it amazes me to feel the shifts and realize just how far I’ve come and how real this ascension process is. I try to use the descent as a learning tool as well. How did I get here? Perhaps I had a pattern redo to complete that required me to be in that lower state. Or maybe I had an extremely negative experience or chakra purging that knocked my vibration down. Whatever the case may be, I know it’s only temporary, and that I’ll be in the higher states again soon.
So what can you do to accelerate this process and experience these states yourself? I’ll list some tools and tips that have helped me to find these higher states.
1- Ask for it. Because we live within the rules of freewill, our guides and higher self will respect our beliefs and intentions. By simply stating, “I choose 5d consciousness” or “I am 5d consciousness” we can open that door to a new world.
2-Using “I am” mantras. These are incredibly powerful mantras you can use each morning that can powerfully shift your day. I’ve recently been saying these out-loud each morning and have noticed major shifts within myself.
*I am a magnificent child of God
*I am the light, I am the love, I am the Truth, I am (channeled by Blossom Goodchild)
*I am my I am presence, and I am one with the I am presence of every person on earth. (channeled by Patricia Cota Robles)
3-Find your joy. Choose activities that make you happy. Creative pursuits are especially powerful, as well as getting out in nature. If you’re feeling stuck, turning on some music and dancing around can make a huge difference.
4-Reduce screen time. I noticed a major shift when I quit my habit of beginning screen time upon awakening. Now I enjoy my morning routine, including prayer and meditations without the interference of the negative emotions brought about by our media. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn the extent of the negative programming in certain platforms (especially Facebook). Taking a break from all screen time, can have a major positive effect on your energy.
5-Meditation and prayer. I can’t say enough about these practices. I’ve been an avid prayer since childhood, and an avid meditator for the past five years. I believe the meditation practice was a major catalyst in my awakening. I use a form of mantra meditation where I slowly repeat the mantra “Om Namo Naraya Naya” in my mind. According to a quick google search, this mantra is used widely to help achieve self-realization and oneness with the divine. Using a mantra meditation helps placate my mind, allowing me to shift my awareness to the different sensations in my body. By going within, I found a new peace and clarity I never knew existed. Becoming a practiced meditator can have benefits beyond spiritual awakening. Sometimes taking a 20 minute meditation break, can refresh my body and mind as much as a full night of sleep.
6-Journaling. For me, journaling opened a door for my higher self to begin to communicate with me. For more information, see my blog post “Journaling.”
Since we are all unique and have different paths, some of these may work for you, and others may not. These are simply the tools that I have found useful in my Journey. God bless.
